How to Get Augmented Reality for Android: 5 Steps (with Pictures)

Augmented reality is when you view the world through a camera with extra digital info layered on top of it. This can be used for driving directions, finding restaurants, or any other kind of interaction with the real world.
STEPS

1
SEARCH FOR AN AUGMENTED REALITY APP SUCH AS "LAYAR" IN THE PLAY STORE.

2
CLICK THE "INSTALL" BUTTON TO INSTALL LAYAR. Click "Open" to open the app on your phone.

3
SELECT A LAYER TO USE IN THE APP, SUCH AS "WIKIPEDIA WORLD."

4
CLICK "LAUNCH" IN THE TOP RIGHT CORNER OF THE APP TO BEGIN THE APP.

5
LOOK AROUND USING YOUR CAMERA ONCE THE LAYER ACTIVATES. You'll see targets appear in the screen, representing locations listed on Wikipedia. This means that even though you have the camera pointed at for example, a wall, the target will show you that if you go int hat direction, you'll make it to the Wikipedia location listed- a pond, for example.
TIPS
You can use augmented reality to walk directly towards the target on screen in real time.
